CONFERENCES

The Conferences department occupies a central place within the SDSA, offering a unique space of exchange for enthusiasts of the fascinating world of diplomacy. Each semester, we organise between 3 and 5 events open to everyone, whether students or participants external to the university. Through these conferences, our objective is to promote diplomacy, to make accessible this universe often perceived as closed, and to allow students to interact directly with professionals in the field.

Joining the Conferences department is the opportunity to develop key skills such as event organisation, public speaking, interpersonal communication, coordination, as well as expanding your professional network.

HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

My name is Ermyas, I am 23 years old and I am in my final year of a bachelor's degree in international relations at the University of Geneva. I joined the SDSA in my second year, driven by a desire to immerse myself in the fascinating world of diplomacy and discover what goes on behind the scenes. This experience has offered me much more than an academic immersion: it has allowed me to meet passionate minds, take on stimulating challenges and bring ambitious projects to fruition.

Leading the Conferences Department is a real intellectual and human adventure for me. I see it as a unique opportunity to bring inspiring exchanges to life, build bridges between students and experts, and make diplomacy more accessible to everyone. Above all, I am fortunate to be surrounded by an exceptional, dynamic and committed team, without whom each event would not be so memorable.

My ambition is to make each conference a memorable experience, both educational and captivating.
